Ukrainian-born baritone Vladyslav Popov brings depth and versatility to operatic performance. He began his musical education at the Luhansk Regional College of Culture and Arts, where he studied choral performance and conducting, later continuing his training at Donetsk State Music Academy. His years of experience in choral music shaped his ability to blend seamlessly in ensemble work while maintaining his own distinctive vocal presence.
From 2015 to 2022, Popov was a dedicated member of the chorus at Donbass Opera, contributing to 21 productions and deepening his understanding of the operatic repertoire. Upon relocating to the United States, he joined Bellevue Opera, performing in Bizet’s Carmen (2023), Verdi’s La Traviata (2024) as the Doctor, and Puccini’s La Bohème (2025). For the (2025–2026) season, Popov has been selected as a Studio Artist with Puget Sound Concert Opera.
Now residing in Bellevue, Washington, Popov continues to refine his craft, contributing his resonant baritone voice to the region’s operatic community.
